William Rast now being sold at Target Stores

I recall a time in history when Target peddled garments that were hardly even socially acceptable. Nowadays, it appears big brands have moved into their stores and it is almost like it has become a respectable place to purchase clothes. If you’re not convinced, perhaps you haven’t received word that high-end designer denim maker William Rast has just recently been added to the growing list of designers sold at Target.

If you’re not in the know, William Rast is a popular and up-and-coming maker of designer denim jeans, founded in part by Justin Timberlake. These fancy jeans have been seen on the rear-ends of tons of famous folk around Tinsel Town. It’s safe to say they will be the most costly denim available for sale at any Target around the country, but they’re still on sale at freaking Target. Now does that boggle your mind?

Back when I was a kid, I recall feeling being desperately bored while shopping at Target and pleading with my mom to buy me a $5 digital watch. Of course I can’t say with certainty what other kinds of watches were for sale, but I’m guessing there were various kinds that were all within that same cost range. Nowadays, I have seen some sold there costing over a hundred bucks.

Another example is my teenage years. In order to save some $, my dear mother would get me clothes from Target. While the majority of my peers were sporting cool, expensive, skate style brands, I was wearing obscure brands like Mossimo or Utility, the trademarks of Target back in the day. It was quite arduous.

Things have apparently changed. Today, doing your shopping at Target stores is basically the cool thing to do. My goodness, we certainly have come a long way.
